The Department of Primary Education is a part of the School of Education at the University of Crete and one of the nine academic Departments that provide Bachelor degrees for primary education teachers in Greece. It incorporates a fully operating laboratory for science teaching offering a variety of laboratory science courses and lectures for pre- and in-service teachers.
Eugenides Foundation
The Eugenides Foundation is an independent, non-profit foundation, which was established in 1956 by Eugene Eugenides with a mission to enhance the scientific, technological and technical education in Greece. The Foundation activities include academic scholarships, publications specializing in technical education, a fully equipped library, the New Digital Planetarium, one of the largest and best-equipped digital planetaria in the world, and the Interactive Science and Technology Exhibition dedicated to current issues of science and technology.
