Faculty of Education

University of Jyväskylä is a medium-size University in Finland. The faculty of Education, founded in 1934, is the oldest one and has 1.834 students. A speciality at the University is our Nanoscience Centre, a collection of faculty members and students from departments of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, working together under the same roof. The University of Jyväskylä team is involved with pre-service teacher education and also in-service teacher Professional Development.

The Jyväskylä University Museum, founded in 1900, has two sections.
- The Cultural History Section
- The Natural History Section (The Natural History Museum of Central Finland)
The Museum collects, preserves, makes research and exhibits material related to the past and the present of the University of Jyväskylä as well as the diversity of nature in Central Finland.
